How Fast Is The Hennessey Challenger SRT600?
Well, according to Chrysler, a Hennessey-enhanced 2009 Challenger SRT600 will do a Quarter-mile at approx. 121 MPH in just under 12 seconds – (11.9 to be exact, see the clip on Dodgepedia’s video page). Chrysler also states this drag strip run was “conservative” – as if they won’t brag about a faster speed if and when officials record such a finding. Needless to say, this is quite an impressive power upgrade (or as we like to yell around the office: “kick-ass!”) for a vehicle already attracting loads of attention.

So, would you like to have a Hennessey-enhanced Challenger? Sure, who wouldn’t?! A complete Challenger SRT600 package; including engine, suspension, brake upgrades and embroidered floor mats, is $74,950. The driver has to supply a car themselves. You can also go for the engine-only upgrade for $29,500.
From the official Press Release:

In early testing a Hennessey Challenger HPE600 Turbo recorded a quarter mile time of 11.9-seconds @ 121 mph on optional Nitto Drag Radial tires with a conservative launch. In addition, the HPE600 also spent time on the Carolina Motorsports Park road course where HPE’s suspension upgrades (including KW adjustable coil-over shocks/springs, larger anti-roll bars, and unique bushings) were track tuned. With the significant increase in power and handling, HPE also has available for the Challenger a set of vehicle specific StopTech brakes replete with lightweight rotors.

I have a 2008 SRT8 Challenger #6290. Where is Hennessey located and what is included in the engine upgrades. Does the upgrade void warranty?
