2010 Dodge Charger – At Least, How We’d Like it

2010 Dodge Charger – At Least, How We’d Like it

Who knows what the state of Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep will be by 2010 – but if all goes well fans may be driving off in an all new 2010 Charger or Challenger. But what exactly will a 2010 Dodge Charger look like? Can we expect an update of the current four door model, with little tweaks here and there? Or will we have an all new imagined and sportier Dodge Charger – which is what muscle car lovers have been hoping for in the Challenger.

Is This a 2010 Dodge Charger?

Is This a 2010 Dodge Charger?

Blurry concept photos have leaked online in recent days, aiming more towards a four door (and boring) Dodge Charger for next year. It’s a sad state of affairs when race car drivers can’t get themselves a nice two door car. Artists renderings (some of which featured here) show a fantastic look at what 2010 may give us when it comes to a future Charger.

What we love most about all of the Internet’s concept photos from Dodge is an up-sloping rear end. Previous Chargers featured a rear that sloped downward, and only looked like it could catch some wind with the help of a spoiler. Looks like we’ll have to keep our fingers crossed that Dodge will survive, and give us the muscle car rebirth everyone has been dreaming of.

  1. wow this concept has a amazing back, sleek yet beastly! When is the speculated date of announcing the 2010 model?

  2. i used to have a couple of Cuda’s in my younger days. i wished i should have kept my 1970 grand coup. i wonder if Chrysler is gonna bring back the Cuda even though im a Ford man i can go both ways

  3. all the concepts looks shit the current charger is perfect

  4. a muscle car is a stronger than nature man machine… large heavy raw testosterone power no fancy angles no gay ass aerodynamic line!

those new cars are total faillures as muscle cars cool sport car at best

  5. I USE TO HAVE A 1970 DODGE CHARGER.PERSONALLY, THE CHARGER WAS ALWAYS A SPORTS CAR, WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THAT CONCEPT.NOW ITS A PASSENGER CAR. US CHARGER LOVERS WANT THE SPORTS CAR BACK,AND LEAVE IT THAT WAY. THAT IS WHAT KILLED IT ALONG TIME AGO. BRING BACK THE TWO DOOR, AND LOWER THE PRICES, AND YOU WELL SELL ALOT OF CARS. DOESN’T ANYONE OF YOU GET IT YET! THE REASON YOU ARE DIEING IS BECAUSE OF COST AND APPERANCE CHANGES,THE JAPANESE MODELS GIVE EVERYTHING YOU GIVE, PLUS MORE, AND THEY ARE CHEAPER. AND TO TOP IT OFF, THEY RUN LONGER. FIND OUT WHY, AND DO THE SAME THING, TO BEAT THEM AT THERE GAME. GET REAL, LEAVE THE SPORTS CARS AS THAT, AND THE PASSENGER CARS AS THEY ARE.YOU LEFT THE CHALLENGER AS A SPORTS CAR, AND THE CHARGER WAS AROUND BEFORE THEM, AND MORE POPULAR. SO IN CLOSING, BRING BACK THE TWO DOOR COUPS, THE CONCEPS DO LOOK GOOD, AND WELL SELL.

  6. so oh so fy

  7. I could have done a better job using a Monkey, a bottle of Scotch and an Etch-a-Sketch. You not only forgot to extend the nose of the car but you’ve turned the Classic Charger into a rice burner.

The 1999 Dodge Charger Concept car had it right. It had the sheet metal DNA and the flowing lines and long nose of the original Chargers. On the other hand, your designs look like a taxi cab on crack. If you look on the internet you can still find photos of the aerodynamic and attractive 1999 concept car.

Chysler has butchered both the Charger and the Challenger. The original cars were longer and each had a long attractive nose. With Chryslers fixation on a short stubby frame, the nose of each car has been sacrificed. It’s absolutely ludicrous. It would have been better if neither car had been revived.

  8. you need to make the new dodge charger,s to look like the drawing by glen h. may o9 this drawing is what the new dodge charger should look like it is a great lookin car it has the look of the 68-70 with a newer look i think this car would sell like hot cake,s i wouldbe one of the frist to buy it.

  9. you can find this drawing on 2011 dodge charger current rumors .

  10. The rear of this charger is somewhat acceptable, but does not have that charger feel to it. also, the R/T stripe should go all the way down, not quarter ways like in that photo above. These cars look more a messed up corvette than a charger.

You designed the challenger so well, why can’t you do the same for the charger, frankly I am deeply disappointed of the charger look over all.

  11. Now this concept;

    ,

Is somewhat more acceptable, except I would like to see a split grill on the front of her. The R/T stripe goes all the way down, the rear lights are so so, would like it shaped more like the old style.

Also if the rear window was recessed, then it would be some nice. I stretch this picture, and it’s state right now with the changes I would like to see, it would be a pretty good 2010 Charger.

  12. trying to post pic>???of what I mentioned earlier???

  14. I THINK THAT CHARGER CONSEPT WOULD MAKE A GOOD CAR .BECAUSE MY FAMILY WOULD RATHER HAVE A OLD SCHOOL FELLING WITH THE NEW AND NOT HAVE 4DOORS

  15. MARK I DISAGREE NO ONE WANTED THAT JUNK PILE THEY CALLED A CAR BECAUSE IF YOU HAVENT NOTICED THE 1990S DIDNT HAVE A GOOD TIME PERIOD SO QUIT TALKING CRAP THAT YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT P.S I SHOULD KNOW IM A MOPAR MAN I GREW UP BUILDING MOPARS WITH MY FATHER

  16. I have a 1968 Charger R/T, as well as having had a 1969 R/T.
Some years ago, Chrysler promised a new Charger that would pay homage to the 68-70 Chargers.
What we got was a shortened Dodge Magnum.
It is all well and good that the brain trust at Chrysler brought back a Charger, but what a price to pay. But what the hell, the Chrysler brain trust as well as the Fords and GM always did what was best for their own pocket, just buy it and shut up.
I personly do not understand what it is with them refusing to do what they promised, and make a real, modern retro Charger.
I guess that it is just an ego thing with them.
I have had a charger since 1969, I like the Chargers, I just wish that Chrysler cared about us, the people who spend their money.

  17. flippn’ badass. This is what the automotive industry should be doing, creating cars with style, attitude and individualism instead of the homogenized versions that come down the generic tailpipe of mediocrity. I always thought it was shameful to apply the Charger moniker to a damn 4 door! If the new chargers will look like this I will greatly consider a purchase.

  18. This is a nice looking car! I hope that the price is worth it’s value. It looks like there is great potential for future value. Dodge, keep up the good work!

  19. This is the sexiest car in the whole freakinn world its taking my breath away. I frigiin love it.
