Dodge Charger has taken some heat about its misogynistic ads featuring what it means to be a “Man” – which apparently involves buying an underpowered 4-door sedan. Well, Dodge has replaced the “Man” with a cute woman, who isn’t taking shit from her boyfriend anymore. Frankly, this is my favorite Charger spot yet – even with the obvious lack of Michal C. Hall narration.

Based on my research it seems these are not the same items, which is good to know! Because I want to be just as manly as the all new 2010 Dodge Charger.

I also want Michael C. Hall, possibly one of the best actors (on TV at least) of our generation, to explain how Dodge vehicles are on sale, but socks are not discounted. Funny Dodge should choose him for their “Manly” spokesperson – he is talking about being such a “man,” and was famous for portraying an out gay character on the HBO series Six Feet Under. We’re not saying a gay male needs to be stereotyped – in fact all the guy guys I know can probably kick my ass in a game of full contact football, it’s just funny how short everyone’s memories are these days.

When traveling some parts of the vast Canadian Wilderness, or while watching The Trailer Park Boys, it can be difficult to tell Canada and South Carolina apart. But you have to admit, this truck decal is clever. Ok maybe it’s not that good after all, and we highly doubt Dodge (or the new RAM subsidiary) will pick it up as any kind of advertising campaign for next year’s model.

The 2010 Dodge Nitro comes with three new trim levels including the most ridiculous names: Shock, Heat & Detonator. Sock is its only fitting nickname – shock that Dodge keeps producing Nitro models. Yeah…we went there! You have to admit – renaming a less than popular vehicle to sell more variants never really works, unless you’re the Dodge Viper.

According to WCF: The cars will come with a 23 percent more powerful 4.0-litre V6 engine which now packs 194kW (260hp) and 359Nm (265 lb-ft) of torque. Torque is also up 12 percent on the previous entry-level car. A 5-speed automatic is included in the package. Standard Heat items include 20-inch Mopar aluminum wheels, a body-color front grille with bright billets, tinted glass, an eight-speaker sound system, speed control and SIRIUS Satellite Radio among others. All these are also standard in the other two vehicles. Prices for the Dodge Nitro Heat start at US$23,995 (including $745 destination) while the Detonator and Shock go for US$25,995 and US$26,995 respectively.

Last year, we told you about an upcoming Dodge Concept that never made it past the production phase – 2008 Dodge Zeo. It was to be CDJ’s crowing achievement – combining a sports car with an all-electric layout…you know, that stuff Al Gore is always chatting about. As popular as alternative fuel/hybrid cars are nowadays, Dodge’s economic downturn left concepts like Zeo on the showroom floor.

But all hope may not be lost. Recently, 2008’s Zeo (Zero Emissions Operations) popped up at random car shows and press events. Chrysler Dodge Jeep has been working on new ad campaigns ever since their Fiat Merger. Could an electric car be in its Italian-made future? There’s no news on Zeo becoming a production car, at least until 2012 – so why has Dodge laid out a Zeo Microsite on their official web page?

It’s probably wishful thinking that Zeo, or a car like it, will see the light of day before 2020. We can all dream, right? I mean, look at these stats according to Dodge: Zeo is a “268 hp rear-drive motor,” sending driver/passengers from 0 to 60 in approximately 5.7 seconds. ZEO is powered by a 64 kilowatt lithium-ion batter pack. Think cell phone battery, only much, much, much larger. Price is something yet to be discussed, as ZEO is merely a case study for the moment. It has yet to be proven how a fully-electric vehicle would fare in the world of diesel and gas power (meaning mostly the United States).

Come on, don’t let $100,000 scare you away from a Viper ACR-X. It’s actually $30,000 off a Viper Competition Coupe. ACR-X will most certainly become a rare collector’s item once Dodge cuts production of Viper in the near future. So get yours now fellas and ladies – or at least enjoy the gawking.

Interior details include piano black console bezels with red gauges highlighted by red stitching in the seats. Only 33 cars will be produced as 1:33 Edition Viper ACR models. The Dodge Viper ACR 1:33 Edition debuted at the LA Auto Show, and while production pricing has yet to be ironed out, the model will be available soon. Via WorldCarFans.
