640 Horse Power and slightly over $110,000 is only part of the Dodge Viper CR-X package available for 2010. That is, if you can get your hands on one. The Fiat-CDJ may be producing its final Viper and making it sparkle with fully tricked-out race components; including all your stock car safety features (minus the welded doors), more intakes then a jet liner, and the loss of airbags – maybe they should sell a helmet to each buyer.

“Dodge proudly introduces the Viper ACR-X, a combination of the record-setting, street-legal Viper ACR and the championship-winning Viper Competition Coupe. The Viper ACR-X utilizes the 600 horsepower ACR as a starting point and with the aid of headers and a low-restriction exhaust system pushes it to a pavement-pounding 640 horsepower. The suspension is upgraded and tuned solely for the track, optimizing its performance on the toughest road courses. Additional aerodynamic upgrades improve downforce, help stability and improve grip in high-speed corners.”

Come on, don’t let $100,000 scare you away from a Viper ACR-X. It’s actually $30,000 off a Viper Competition Coupe. ACR-X will most certainly become a rare collector’s item once Dodge cuts production of Viper in the near future. So get yours now fellas and ladies – or at least enjoy the gawking.

With a new American Muscle Car tide rises the ship of Hurst Performance Vehicles, which today unveiled its Series 4 Supercharged 2010 Hurst/Hemi Challenger sporting a revival of its classic silver and black with red accent color scheme. The new Challenger is also the first-ever Series 4 Vortech supercharged unit, meaning it has some serious ‘go’ to match its ‘show’ – though official figures haven’t been released yet. The silver and black theme contrasts with the already-released gold-themed Hurst Challengers, which generate about 572 horsepower in Series 4 trim.
[nggallery id=1]

Building on the already solid Challenger base, the series-numbered cars will come with red-anodized HARD-DRIVE pistol grip Hurst shifters, 20-inch one-piece forged aluminum Hurst wheels with polished lips and graphite gray spoke insets and red Hurst logo centers.

An Air-Speed rear deck spoiler, Hurst/Eibach suspension, and Hurst/Magnaflow exhaust are intended to make the most of the car’s looks and performance. Inside, the custom Hurst Challengers get black leather interior from Katzkin, plus red inserts, top-stitching and logos. A full complement of Hurst logos in the dash, grille, fender graphics and floor mats wraps up the package.
